Any interruptions to the charging process do not impair the storage capacity or lifespan of the battery - charging for ten minutes during a biscuit break is absolutely fine. At STIHL, battery compatibility means you can use the same battery across multiple tools within the same STIHL battery system, hedge trimmers to lawn mowers. For example, all AK batteries can be used with all AK System tools, making it easy to add new tools without investing in a new battery each time. Smart Control precisely matches the power output of the battery and the power tool. Within the AP and ALLPRO Systems, chargers and other charging devices are interchangeable in addition to the batteries.
However, while a battery may fit a tool, some batteries may not be recommended for certain applications if they don't provide the capacity needed for the tool to achieve its full performance potential.
