CO2 in accordance with EURO V

EU Regulation 2016/1628 EURO V, which came into effect in September 2016, sets out new emissions limits for combustion engines (petrol and diesel engines) in non-road mobile machines and devices. The new emissions limits come into effect for all STIHL products on 1 January 2019.

The “2016/1628” reference in the type-approval number on your product will tell you whether your STIHL product fulfils the new emissions limits in accordance with EURO V.

You will also find a measured CO2 value in accordance with EURO V in the respective product-specific technical data for your product. You can find these on the corresponding product pages in our online catalogue.

This measured CO2 value is the result of testing a (master) engine representative of the engine type or engine family in a fixed test cycle under laboratory conditions, and does not constitute an explicit or implicit guarantee of the performance of a particular engine.
