Pulling the starter cord of your STIHL 2-MIX or 4-MIX machine may sometimes be physically demanding. STIHL have developed a number of features to make starting the engine much easier!

STIHL ErgoStart

The innovative STIHL ErgoStart system features an additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord reel. This greatly reduces the force required to pull the starter cord, and means the cord can be pulled slowly, smoothly and with the minimum of effort.

STIHL ElastoStart

ElastoStart consists of a special shock absorber grip that smoothens the action of pulling the starter cord. An integrated damper mitigates the load peaks caused by the compression in the cylinder, reducing the jerky motion and protecting your muscles and joints.
