    The Quickstop drill brake release lever stops the drill immediately when it gets stuck in the ground, It also serves as a reverse rotation lock - a stuck bit can then be easily unscrewed manually.

The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.

    BT 131 Petrol Earth Auger: Professional single-operator earth auger with 4-MIX® engine

    The robust STIHL BT 131 earth auger is used by professionals in the horticultural, agricultural and construction sectors for the fast, efficient drilling of burrows for fences, plantations or point foundations. Thanks to its powerful STIHL 4-MIX® engine, the machine can dig rapidly into the soil. STIHL has equipped the BT 131 with the STIHL QuickStop drill brake to protect the operator. As soon as the drill jams in the earth, the release lever activates the STIHL QuickStop drill brake, bringing the drill to a standstill within a fraction of a second. The start-up sequence has been simplified, making it more user-friendly. The large support cushion, included as standard, lies closely against the body during the drilling process. This allows the machine to be operated smoothly and precisely. The stable, low-vibration frame grip allows for especially effortless work.  The 0.7l fuel tank allows the machine to run for long periods. STIHL offers a range of high-quality drilling tools suitable for a wide variety applications in the form of accessories for the STIHL BT 131.
