ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

We are currently offering an exciting Field Trainer (Technical) opportunity for someone with a technical background and experience in delivering training to join our Learning and Development team.

The role is responsible for delivering technical workshop training and product demonstrations to dealer staff, large end-user groups and internal colleagues. This includes the design, delivery and evaluation of face-to-face training, e-learning and webinars.

The Field Trainer will maintain relationships with colleges and training bodies, providing training and presentations where required. They will also deliver train-the-trainer training for large organisations.

The Field Trainer will maintain technical and product knowledge to ensure a high level of competence and work closely with Technical Services, Sales and Marketing.

This role is based at home with regular travel across GB including frequent visits to the new head office and training suite in Camberley, Surrey. Applicants should also be available for occasional overseas travel. 

Candidates will ideally be located within a commutable distance of Camberley, Surrey with good access to major road networks.

Requirements for this role

Essential:

  • Ability to deliver training and product support across a range of platforms including face-to-face and online
  • Strong technical background and expert mechanical knowledge in the use, maintenance and repair of STIHL machines
  • Training, teaching or knowledge sharing experience
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office especially PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and build strong relationships with various stakeholders
  • Full driving licence and confident to drive a van (company vehicle provided)

Desirable:

  • Training qualification
  • Engineering qualification
  • Experience creating teaching and learning materials
  • Video editing experience
