Quality tests have revealed that the screw connections of these trimmer heads may come loose in operation. As a result it is possible that moving parts will fly off, causing a risk of injury to anyone in the surrounding area.

If you own one of these PolyCut trimmer heads, do not use it again.


Please return the trimmer head to a STIHL dealer immediately. You will receive a refund of the purchase price for this. Please take this action in the interest of your own safety. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your local STIHL dealer. Your STIHL dealer will of course help you choose a suitable replacement product.

In principle, the procedure described here applies in all countries affected by this recall. However, deviations are possible due to local requirements.
