The required speed on the starter cord is significantly reduced, and the engine starts quickly and reliably even with a slow pull. An additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord roll makes this easier.

STIHL ELECTRIC START FOR BACKPACK BLOWERS

FOR SIMPLIFIED WARM STARTING. With STIHL ElectroStart, your tool can be restarted quickly and easily after a work break, without you having to take it off your back. The engine restarts at the press of a button. The lithium-ion battery required for starting is automatically charged while in operation. This means that your tool is always ready for use.
