Standard features

Safety locking button

All STIHL battery products have a locking button with which you can lock the device. This prevents the blower starting unintentionally when a live battery is inserted.
Hanging loop

Hang your cordless blower securely on a wall to save space using the loop in the handle housing.
Multi-function handle

Thanks to the multi-function handle, all the controls can be activated with one hand. The control level allows the user to continuously adjust the engine speed. Simple and reliable operation, no matter whether you are right or left-handed.
STIHL Electric Motor (EC)

The STIHL electric motor (EC) is extremely energy efficient, lightweight and compact. It runs quietly, generates very low vibrations and does not require servicing.
Two-stage axial blower

The two-stage axial blower operates like a fan to eject the maximum volume of high-speed air and produce unparalleled blowing results.
Control lever

With the control lever, the engine speed can be continuously adjusted to regulate the air flow. After releasing the lever, the engine stops immediately.

Additional features

Charger

Two chargers are available: the AL 100 standard charger and AL 300 quick charger. For 100% charge, the AL 100 charges the AP 80 battery in 100 minutes, and the AP 160 battery in approx 165 minutes. The AL 300 quick charger charges the AP 80 battery in 50 minutes and the AP 160 battery in 60 minutes.
Lithium-ion battery

Very powerful lithium-ion 80 Wh or 160 Wh batteries, compatible with all STIHL and VIKING cordless tools. The batteries have no memory effect, meaning they can be charged hundreds of times for a consistent performance. Rechargeable with charger AL 100 standard charger or AL 300 quick charger.
